Connecting styles, blending materials and combining streams – traditional and modern, yet at the same time elegant and up-to-date – the distinctive features of the villa were designed for a couple and their two children near the Artificial Lake of Tirana. In doing so, we have created a timeless living space suited for their spirits, desires, and taste.
The elegant design integrates up to date materials and an abundance of modern elements that not only help establish our concept but also provide additional uses and values. The natural color scheme puts the focus on the raw beauty of the materials. The layers, textures, and finishes were executed with precise and meticulous thought.
This villa has a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, a studio office, a master bedroom with a bathroom and a walking closet, a girl’s bedroom, and a guest bedroom.
The organization of the interior space and the dynamics of moving around the facilities in the home are essential for our interior project. Our fantasy of creating a definitive, detailed, and intimate living space is materialized in the home of the couple and their children.
We created an elegant and inviting living space by utilizing innovative carpentry details, wall claddings, lighting, furniture, textiles and art pieces. In doing so, we also created a lot of storage area for the family, leaving the space neat, airy and organized.
The formal living room incorporates elements of wood, marble, and natural textiles. A simple symmetrical rug rests on the floor, creating a balance between volume, shape, and dimension. Placed on it are an armchair and two tables of varying sizes and materials. The light gray armchair makes the place more comfortable, while the bright linen curtains hanging at a height of three meters add dimension. Also, the element of the fireplace incorporated in the wall gives the room a warm look.
The dining area is located near the foyer and is an important and central axis of the space. It illustrates the eclectic and dynamic transition of styles: while the living room is understated, modern and symmetrical, the dining area is more lighthearted. We chose to use materials such as wood and an abundance of plants.
The spacious master bedroom was designed in a symmetrical line. The wall behind the bed is covered in natural wood in burnt and smoky light brown. The flax bed is enveloped in brushed cotton sheets and satin cushions designed to match. These lie on a cream-colored rug giving a feel of softness and airiness to the space. On one side of the bed, there is a light gray table with a mirror for the. The chaise in soft shades complements the space.
The children’s room was designed and handled in a way that matches the character, desires, and tastes of each of the two children. We used wallpapers, furniture, textiles and accessories to match the world and hobbies of each young girl. Throughout, a soft and pleasant pastel color scheme was applied.
Another important part of the client is also a studio office. In the office, we placed a light gray and white shelf on the left and a simple desk on the right. The wall behind the desk is covered by wood and the door has the same color, making it almost invisible in this room.
Our architects opted for warm and light finish materials for the walls and floors to make this office more comfortable and friendly for the user.
In the end, we are very happy that our project made our clients happy because we don’t think that architecture is only about shelter. Architecture should be able to excite you, to calm you, and make you think…
